The Garrity Group recently pledged and completed a virtual 5K. While I am sure the staff covers that kind of territory in a day around the office, this was a special 5K is was for someone none of us ever met, AJ
AJ was born February 25, 2016. His last days were spent under the care of the dedicated professionals at the Texas Children hospital in Houston, Texas. AJ’s heart gave out at 2am April 22, 2016. Her family and their core of friends started this run to honor AJ’s short life AND to pay it forward to another family with a sick child being treated at the Texas Children hospital as all proceeds will be donated.
The team completed a 5K distance on the same weekend of the event being held in Clovis, New Mexico. AJ’s Aunt made a personal delivery to the team with our race shirts and nutritional support (also known as donuts!).
